CANTON, Miss. – The G.A. Carmichael Family Clinic, 1668 W. Peace St., Canton 39046, is pleased to announce that it has earned the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC’s) Preliminary Recognition for its Diabetes Prevention Program. The designation continues through Oct. 31, 2021.
The CDC Director, Dr. Ann Albright, made the announcement, stating, “This designation is reserved for programs that are effectively delivering a quality, evidenced-based program and have proven to be advancing toward CDC Full Recognition. We appreciate your participation in the National Diabetes Prevention Program and we are committed to working with you to do everything we can to ensure your continued success as a critical member of our national effort.”
This recognition means that the Clinic can enroll in Medicare as a Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program (MDPP) suppliers.
